White Roses

The inspiration for this week's Tablescape Thursday at Susan's Between Naps on the Porch was a bouquet of white roses.  They were the weekly special from HEB (a grocery store, for you non-Texans) at $6! We have enjoyed them on the coffee table, but I thought they deserved their own tablescape, too.

To allow the roses to be the star attraction, I kept the rest of the table very neutral.  I used a gray silk runner, my wedding china, crystal, and silver, and some cut glass pieces that echo the crystal vase.

Here's a placesetting, with the napkin removed.  The china is Lenox Windsong, and the silver is Lunt Belvedere.

Here's a closeup of the two patterns.  I like that both china and silver include similar flowers.

Here's one more look at the roses.

Thanks for visiting this week, and check out all the other tablescapes at Susan's Between Naps on the Porch.

  11. Hi Tricia!

The white roses were a great inspiration. I cannot believe you can buy a bouquet of roses for $6.00 in Texas. It's at least double that in California. I love the setting. As always, thank your sharing.

  27. There really is nothing quite as elegant as white roses. Your tablescape is the perfect compliment to the roses, classic and elegant. My wedding china is also Lenox and I still love it after all these years. I agree your flatware and your china are a perfect match.

  31. Tricia, I think you and I would feel right at home at each other's houses. I love seeing you use the Moonspun crystal that I also have, but I also noticed the flower container in your header. I have the same one! I need to get mine out and polish it and use it. Your tablescape looks so elegant, and those roses are beautiful. When we were looking at china, etc. before the wedding I couldn't make up my mind between Lunt Belvedere and Old Master. I ended up with Old Master. The L.B. is beautiful. laurie

Thanks for your sweet comments on my boat tablescape. It was fun, although my kids made fun of me. Have a great weekend.
