I've pulled out my "good stuff" for this table -- my wedding china, crystal, and silver chosen almost 40 years ago -- plus some newer finds. Here's the view from the kitchen doorway.
A little closer look:
The placesetting starts with some new placemats and napkins from Pier 1 in a pale shade of turquoise. They look almost baby blue in these photos, for some reason. The china, Lenox Windsong, includes flowers in the same shade. The crystal is Lenox Moonspun (and is shared by several bloggers who married around the same time we did!), and the silver is Lunt Belvedere.
Here's a diner's view:
The table is centered with candles and small arrangements of cream-colored roses and alstroemeria in silverplate julep cups. The roses were $7.99 a dozen this week at HEB, and I filled in with the alstroemeria for a "fluffier" look. The roses opened up after I took these photos -- I was too impatient!
Here's a different angle:
Thank you for visiting my table this week! I hope you will leave a comment before you leave to visit all the wonderful tablescapes at Susan's Between Naps on the Porch!
Tricia,
ReplyDeleteJust a lovely, elegant table. I think a lot of us chose Lenox.

It's just beautiful, Tricia. You and I have the same crystal pattern. That's Moonspun, right? I don't have the sherbets. Love them.
ReplyDeleteThe roses in the little silver vase are pretty as is. I can only imagine how gorgeous they are all opened up.

I LOVE flowers in julep cups. Honestly I am going to have to find some of those (but where???) because it's such a great look. Pairing the roses with the alstroemeria is lovely as well. Alstroemeria are one of my favorite flowers because they are so long lasting and enhance any bouquet. Very nice table here.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty table, lovin' the blue and your flowers are beautiful! Happy Easter Tricia:@)
ReplyDeleteEaster is the best day for The Good Stuff! Your table is elegant as always, usable as always, and perfectly set, as always. Beautiful!

ReplyDeleteI really like that the rich brown of your lovely dining table becomes a color component in your tablescape with the blues and creams of your beautiful china and linens! Don't you just love silver mint Julep cups? I've used mine for years...for everything but Mint Juleps. :-) Thank you for sharing your elegant design. Cherry Kay

Hi Tricia,
ReplyDeleteThis table is sooo elegant! It's just lovely. I really love the soft aqua and creamy white combined with your silver. I always admire your pretty sterling flatware. Hopefully I'll get some one day. The mint julep cups are one of my favorites; they do make great vases for a formal table. I hope you'll get a chance to visit my blog this week. I didn't get to post my Easter tablescape until this morning, but I am on Susan's TT waaay down at the bottom. Take care and have a Blessed Easter.
