The placesetting includes the leaf green placemats and napkins I've used in several tablescapes, some wicker chargers, plain white plates, square lavender melamine plates, green stemware, and our everyday stainless flatware.
The clear napkin rings were a gift from my daughter, and they have an opening to hold flowers and water. I have really enjoyed using these!
Here's an across the table view, in which you can see another purple item I found, a glass carafe that was a gift from my in-laws years ago. It's perfect for keeping iced water or tea handy. At the other end of the table, a bowl of plums brings in another shade of purple.
For the centerpiece, I found some lavender daisy mums at Sam's -- ten stems for $4.88!
Here's a view of the whole table.
One more look at a daisy mum!

ReplyDeleteHi, Tricia! The lavender plates...ooo la la! I have never seen lavender plates like that. They're p-r-e-t-t-y!!! Do you remember back in the 80s when purple and green eyeshadow was the rage? I wore it constantly and loved the color combination. I'm glad to see it making a grand comeback. It's a hit on your table and a little nostalgic for me! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteTricia, For never using purple and green together you hit a home run! Everything is balanced so well. Better watch those napkin rings... if I could I would reach in and "borrow" them. That pretty bloom add the right pizzaz to your table.

This is just the way I like trying a new color: Stick to basic pieces, then add some natural elements, like fruit and flowers to set your theme color. If I like the combination, then I might decide to invest on some pieces when the time is right. Oh, I'd love to sit at this table. Your napkin rings are gorgeous and I like the way you used them!
ReplyDeleteI love that color combination. in fact I am trying to create it. Very pretty, Tricia....Christine
ReplyDeleteLovely table, and the colars are just so nice to see at a table.

I don't know how I managed to miss this one, but I love it. Your green shade is perfect with the purples, and I think the WAY you brought in the purples and lavender is what makes it so pretty.

Hi, Tricia. Thanks for welcoming me to Blogland! It's great to be here with all these wonderful people! Your table is "Fresh." The color combination is great, and it was clever of you to add the splash of purple with flowers--didn't break the bank! Thanks for visiting me!
ReplyDeleteWell, you know me! I love purple and green and it is always so pretty. The pale colored salad plates are soooo pretty with your flowers. I just adore the little flower holder napkin rings. How pretty are they!!!
ReplyDeleteTricia, I've missed your tablescapes! I hope all's well.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous table! Greens and purples are one of my all-time faves, and in fact, I used to have my master bedroom in softer shades of those colours because it is very serene.
ReplyDeleteI love what you have done with your blog. Did you get a professional designer, or are you just really, really smart? I could use a little help, as I had to go back to Blogger, and I am using something called "updated interface." I would like to make it look a little prettier, and also to move some of the stuff from my iWeb site over. I just don't know how.
Hi Tricia!! I have not seen you in a while!! Thanks for stopping by and for entering the giveaway. I hope you are well:-)
ReplyDeleteWonderful! Where can I buy those napkin rings?
