These pretty hydrangea-print napkins and table runner caught my eye in a Sur la Table store, so when they went on sale, I ordered them. (They also carry melamine dinnerware in this print, in both blue and green, if you're interested!)
When the order arrived, I decided the linens would be pretty with my Sophie Conran dishes in forget-me-not blue. Villeroy and Boch's My Garden glasses added more blue, and the delphiniums my husband brought home from HEB last week were the perfect blue, even a few days past their prime.
A diner's view. . .

Delphiniums!
A simple summer table, but I do love the colors!
Thanks for stopping by! I will be linking to Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps on the Porch.

Very petty, Tricia. I saw these linens and dishes in Sur La Table here in Austin. I even took photos of their display because I thought they were so attractive. Love the blue details on the natural wood of your dining room table.
ReplyDeleteHope you are enjoying a good summer and getting some of the thunderstorms that are in our area.
Love that etched vase!
ReplyDeleteYour table is beautiful - so vibrant! The delphiniums are perfect, too. I'm salivating (and envious - sinful, I know) over your gorgeous candlesticks! They are my favorite things on your table. Your dishes are the perfect color for these linens you ordered. I also noticed the chair against the wall - what an interesting back it has. (OK, I'll admit, I'm envious/sinning again!) Thanks for sharing at Met Monday so I could view your table. :-)

Tricia, I'm all for quick and easy, simple tablescapes these days! Your blues are so cool and inviting; perfect for that Texas heat! In a few weeks when my blue hydrangeas are in full bloom, I'll be remembering this pretty tablescape. :-)
ReplyDeleteI adore blue, and this particular shade of blue is so pretty! The delphinium look gorge with your setting. :)
ReplyDeleteI am soooo with you, on this one!! I love the colors on this table Tricia! Those blue plates, table runner and napkins look great together!
ReplyDeleteTricia, your blue is so beautiful and calming. Simple is good in the summer!
ReplyDeleteOmg, the delphiniums alone are worth the price of admission... ;-) Love the candlestick holders, as well. Blues are always so calming.
ReplyDeleteThis is so beautiful, calm, and refreshing. I have seen many blue and white tables, but few use this shade of blue. You have done it well. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteDelphiniums! I'm so glad you identified the name of the flowers because it was driving me crazy trying to think of what they're called! They're so pretty! The color is just brilliant!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is a really pretty table with all the blue & white touches! I think I would love to check out the melamine Sur la Table dishes. This is a gorgeous pattern!
Enjoy your weekend, Tricia!
Gorgeous blues, I love love love those new linens!

Tricia, You have the best eye for design. Love your new linens, The color is gorgeous. Your dishes and glassware are perfect with the new linens especially the texture of the glass design. Good choice of delphiniums.
ReplyDeleteYour tablescape elicited a sweet sigh from me when I first gazed upon it. We must have been "channeling" the soft blue tones this week. "Great minds" and all that.... You design is serene and lovely. Thanks for inviting us for a peek. Cherry Kay
ReplyDeleteTricia, this is beautiful. I love all of the soft blues. The AC Candlestick is a beauty too. How wonderful to have that vase and a pitcher in the same pattern. It is such a delicate beauty. Have a good weekend. laurie
ReplyDeleteTricia that color of blue is just gorgeous. It is one of my favorite shades. Your goblets are perfect with it and those flowers couldn't be better. What finds! I hope you have a wonderful 4th of July weekend. I can't believe we are in July already. Why do the fun months just speed by!??
ReplyDeleteHi Tricia, I'm trying to get back on track with reading/writing/commenting when it comes to blogs so I wanted to stop by. Glad I did because I love the colors you've used on your table.
ReplyDeleteTricia, your table looks so pretty with the blue. The glasses are lovely. Soft blues are always a pleasure to see.
ReplyDeleteWhat stunning linens Tricia! How fabulously they go with your blues. I just love both the runner and the napkins and the match to your goblets couldn't be better. It is such a pretty shade of blue.
ReplyDeleteJust found your blog in a empty nest discussion and an now following. I look forward to reading more :-)
ReplyDeleteI came here via a comment you left on CF (Shhh! my dual identity is our little secret!) and am thrilled to see that you, too, believe in cloth napkins. My husband's environmental activist mother was very annoyed when she and my husband's dad stayed with us and I gave them cloth napkins to use. She wouldn't have minded so much if I had washed them after every meal, but if you are not getting them dirty - if you are just using them in your lap and do not spill your food, there is no reason not to re-use the same one you used at the previous meal.
ReplyDelete(The same environmental activist MIL also does not like that I dry my clothes on a clothesline instead of in the dryer.)
Tricia, I miss your beautiful tables. I hope you are doing well. laurie
