Birthday!

We celebrated our birthdays in fine style this year, with a weekend in Destin! We stayed at the Sandestin Hilton, where we've stayed before, and it was great. The weather cooperated (after an arrival in driving rain), and we enjoyed walking on the beach, shopping, and eating some wonderful meals.

I made a Fourth of July dress for Eleanor, with matching shorts for Thomas. Thomas didn't want to pose when this photo was taken!

Summer Update

We have had a fun summer, with several visits from Eleanor and Thomas. They especially enjoyed "swimming" in the pool. Eleanor and her mom went to Boston when we did, and we enjoyed sightseeing together -- and riding the T!

Halloween Sewing

Here's a tiered skirt made for Miss E using two Debbie Mumm companion prints. I used clear elastic to gather the tiers, which worked pretty well.

I have had fun this spring getting back into sewing. I've recently made five dresses for Eleanor (and three to match for Pink Bear).

Thanksgiving

This year R & R were at his parents' house, and C's mom was in the nursing home, so we just had three around our table for Thanksgiving. But the food was good, and the table was pretty!
