When I arrived on campus this morning, I saw this from my office window. The Air Force ROTC cadets are taking turns holding a flag vigil. Periodically, another set of cadets arrives, salutes, then takes the place of the others. Those leaving their posts slowly pivot and walk away. It's very moving, and I wanted to record this reminder. My father is a veteran of the Korean War, and my father-in-law served in World War II.

To begin with, I love the name of your blog. Too funny.
ReplyDeleteWhat a heartfelt sight you have from your office window today.
Your round table is perfect for its new home. I must say, I like your in-laws' chairs. Maybe you just don't like the color.
Thanks for visiting my brand new blog.
LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, what a beautiful thing to witness. Have you ever been to Washington DC to see the changing of the guard? That's what it reminds me of. Thanks for stopping by - we have SO much in common, don't we? Sandi
