My inspiration for this table was a bouquet of pink tulips my husband brought home from HEB this week. As I began to think about how I might set a table featuring the tulips, I realized that I don't have any dishes that include pink, nor do I have any pink table linens or much of anything ELSE pink. So, I decided to let the tulips be the only color on the table, keeping the rest of the elements very neutral.
ast week's table. They fit perfectly!
Table runner - last year from The Great Indoors in Colorado (on clearance for under $5)
Napkins - Crate and Barrel
Plates - Pier 1
Glasses - Bloomingdale's (on clearance for $1.99 each!)
Silver - wedding gifts in 1972
Candleholder - Christmas gift from my mother a few years ago -- love it!
Thanks for visiting my table this week -- and thanks to those of you who choose to leave comments. They are greatly appreciated! I will be linking to Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps on the Porch. Don't miss all the pretty tables you'll see there!

Love the combination of gray table linens and the pink tulips. Great idea to let the tulips be the only color. They're really pretty and they and the flower holder give you that fresh modern feel.ReplyDelete
I love the simplicity of your table...the pink, gray and white combo is very pretty.ReplyDelete

This is so beautiful and the pink works well even though there is no other pink on the table. The tulips are just beautiful and you KNOW I love your silver pattern! BTW...I am re-watching Downtown Abbey (episode 2) as I look at all of the tablescapes. What better way to multitask!!! Are you loving it??? There are so many possibilities for the storyline.
This is absolutely wonderful...very sophisticated...beautiful! The pink with the gray is stunning, and the black wrought iron centerpiece is perfection. I LOVE this! Cherry KayReplyDelete

This is so pretty! I love the simplicity. I think if really put the emphasis on the tulips. Tulips are my favorites and these are lovely!ReplyDelete
Oh the tulips are beautiful and I just love your centerpiece vase, very unique! With such pretty tulip arrangement you didn't needed any more to make such a beautiful tablescape. Thank you for your lovely visit and yeah, my Bil is very generous, he gave me some and to the other guests, as we had a family reunion. Hugs,ReplyDelete
The minute I saw the tulips, I knew that I was going to love this one. Pink tulips happen to be a favorite of mine. Actually, ANY tulips are among my favorites. I'm so glad you chose to go with a gray/silver table. It's elegant and makes the tulips pop.ReplyDelete
Now, about that brainstorm? Fantastic. You're so much on a roll. First those lemon votives last week and now the cylinders. It had SO MUCH more presence in the cylinders than in a vase like I would have done. (I'm fully intending to hog some of my lemons out and try that votive thing. I can only imagine the scent. Just need the pretty stand like you have)
That votive holder is great. Your tulips are so cheerful for this gray time of year. I love them with the neutral gray. Just perfect. DianneReplyDelete

Oh, Tricia.....How much do you think I am loving, loving, loving this right now with the gorgeous pink tulips?!??!! I LOVE PINK!!! I make no bones about it. Pink is my very favorite color, and tulips are one of my favorite flowers. You did a great job of arranging them in that cool floral vessel!!! That little dude is slick! It's the perfect tool for arranging flowers in a hurry or on a budget or...just because! Love it! I'm also in love with that herringbone runner. Very dapper!ReplyDelete

Your table is lovely!
I just love gray and pink together! Some of my favorite tablescapes let the flowers be the only color. You did a beautiful job. That bud vase holder is wonderful! I'd be tempted to use it in every tablescape! :)
