All Greens Go Together

Yay!  The semester is over, the grades are in, and maybe now I can post a bit more frequently!  Today I have a very short post about a new arrangement on my bench-used-as-a-coffee-table.  I wanted something more seasonal than the previous one, so I went with green -- several shades of green, in fact.

The base is a lime green wooden tray from Crate and Barrel Outlet.  To that, I added a stack of decorating books -- the top one is Nell Hill's Entertaining with Style, which I love.  Perched on top of the books is a bird candle from Pier 1 and a pot from Crate and Barrel holding yellow daisy mums.  The ivy leaf plate is made of melamine and is from Pottery Barn this season.  All the greens are a bit different, but I'm going with the "rule" that all greens go together!
I'll be linking to Table Top Tuesday at Marty's A Stroll Thru Life, so be sure to stop by her party to see some great vignettes for inspiration!

  7. Oh, how lovely Tricia. Such a sweet vignette in the tray, which I also love as it brings all the greens together. Looks like you're having spring weather at your neck-o da-woods! Have a great week!

  8. The greens are perfect for a Springy look, Tricia! I have a few of the Nell Hill books, but I don't think I have that one. I do enjoy pulling the others out every so often and relooking through them.

  9. The amazing thing about green is that there are so many different shades of it, and they all work together. Just look at nature!

  10. How pretty! I do think your greens blend together quite well. Perhaps because we see so many greens in nature. Hooray for extra moments to spend in blogging!

  12. It will be wonderful to have a little break, won't it?
I love your vignette. I am actually looking at my den coffee table with a tray much like that. You inspired me to do something different with it! How about that?
